capturing beauty

On the 4th of july i was sitting in a chair watching Arwyn playing in my parents backyard. I was so struck by her beauty and innocence, and the preciousness of her. I tried to capture it with these pictures but they just don't justice to the moment. Isn't it interesting, our longing to freeze those moments that catch us by surprise or literally take our breath away? In appreciating this moment to watch and enjoy her, I was suddenly battling with her future. Going back to that post about what I had been learning lately, What suffering and trials await her? I was overwhelmed with the wishing that she would be able to stay in this innocent beautiful and simple state. It was bittersweet.
