a day with Arwyn

While I was checking my email today ( our computer is in our room ) Arwyn was sitting on our bed barackaded by pillows. She was playing with a mini book. I was watching her and realized she has my " focused" look, she furrows her brow and purses her lips. Josiah raises his eyebrows when he is focused. She was trying very hard to open the book.

At last she got it open and held it up and exclaimed " ha!" with a truimphant smile on her face. It was the cutest thing. We just peaked on her before going to bed and we whispered of how long she is getting. She looks so big!

Today during dinner I decided to start teaching her " thank you" in sign language, but i only had to help her hand a few times then cue her twice and then i just asked her to say thank you... and she did it. All the rest of her signs took months each. she is really catching on.

We delight in her more each day and can't imagine what it must be like to have more than one. Soon and very soon!

while daddy was installing the seat... arwyn was reading the directions and giving him pointers. this is her satisfied smile.. we love it

thats the box that she is in....so fun! 

I'm tanked!

we wore her out so much that she wouldn't even wake up for our next adventure... the children's section of Barnes and Nobels....she did eventually.

After that we dropped her off at some freinds house' and went on a date. We were going to see "the davinci code" but it was pretty long and didn't really fit into our schedule... so we settled on "just my luck", which was cute for a chick flick.

But we are looking forward to seeing the one coming up with Adam Sandler about the universal remote. ( sorry the name escapes me) 

Flamingos were probably the thing that mezmerised her the most.. cause we were close and there were so many.. and they look so fun! she didn't look toward the camera once, she was too busy observing.

It's so fun seeing them discover things for the first time! 

Arwyn was very excited about all the animals, that she could see anyway. We went to the monkeys first which was fun cause she has a favorite pet "stuffed" monkey that we play with all the time . They put on quite a show for her.

Here is the Jaguar that wasn't as ambitious. She also saw a giraffe up close, tortiose, lemurs, addax, lion, and ant eater. She waved very politely at them all!

We will have to come back for the snakes and crocodiles! 

Our first Family trip to the zoo!

Since Arwyn is very excited when she is near any animal or even see's one on her Baby Einstein videos... we thought we would take her to the Sac Zoo.

We got there at 4:00 pm after eating and playing frisbee at William Land Park, to find out that they close at 4! interesting since evening is when all the animals come out to play.

BUT! a nice worker at the gate let us come in for free for the last hour. Here is the tiger that came to visit us up close:)
